Manchester United are facing a race against time to prepare a fully fit squad ahead of their final fixtures of the season.
Ruben Amorim’s side are gearing up for a testing away trip to Chelsea on Friday night, followed by next week’s high-stakes Europa League final against Tottenham Hotspur in Bilbao.
Both clubs have endured one of their most turbulent league seasons in decades, with United sitting just above Spurs on goal difference as they battle to avoid finishing in the bottom half of the table.

Amorim has repeatedly urged his side to “be brave” in the transfer market this summer, but a strong end to the campaign could provide a needed boost before major changes are made.
There has also been growing excitement around the number of academy talents stepping up in training, with United fans eager to see which of the club’s rising stars might feature in the remaining games.
But those preparations were hit by a fresh injury concern at Carrington on Wednesday, with two high-profile defenders absent from the group session, as reported by the MEN.
Both Matthijs de Ligt and Leny Yoro were missing as United trained in front of the media.
De Ligt has been out for over a week after limping off with a knee issue during the 4-3 defeat at Brentford.
Amorim previously insisted it was “not a big issue”, though his absence from training casts fresh doubt over his availability.

Yoro, meanwhile, suffered a foot injury during United’s 2-0 home defeat to West Ham on Sunday and was also not spotted on the grass.
The 18-year-old was seen limping after the game, and no official update has been provided since.
Several academy players, including Jaydan Kamason, Sekou Kone, Godwill Kukonki and James Overy, were part of the senior session at Carrington, alongside Jonny Evans and Toby Collyer who have recently returned from injury.
Diogo Dalot trained individually, while Ayden Heaven was not involved in the session.
With limited recovery time ahead of Friday’s match at Stamford Bridge and the Europa League final in Spain, Amorim may have to make difficult defensive decisions in the days ahead.
