One Man United star is wanted by Serie A giants this summer. The player joined the Red Devils only in last summer. But, he has failed to impress at Old Trafford due to which United are open to selling him.
The star in question here is Joshua Zirkzee. He joined United last summer from Bologna. The Red Devils opted to pay the Italian club €40 million as they were impressed with Zirkzee. But, the move has resulted in failure for both club and the player himself.
Zirkzee has managed to scored only 7 goals across 48 games. This has caused the club a log of troubles. United are on 16th position in Premier League right now. One of the major reasons behind this is struggle of strikers to score regularly.
United boss Ruben Amorim wants to rebuild their attacking unit. As a result, the club is open to part ways with under performing stars. One of them is Zirkzee who is now linked with a return to Italy after only one year at England.
Zirkzee to make Serie A return this summer?
According to Il Corriere Dello Sport, Zirkzee is wanted by Inter Milan this summer. The UCL finalists view the Dutch striker as a key addition to their squad. Despite the struggling season, they rate the qualities of Zirkzee very highly.
Zirkzee can be convinced easily by Inter to join them. The player had his best form in Italy and hence will be tempted to return there. In addition, he is still very young and will hope to get his career back on track as soon as possible.
United are already open to sell Zirkzee but they will have to accept some loss on their initial investment. They are also open to sell Rasmus Hojlund. The Red Devils are said to be in a pole position to sign Liam Delap this summer.
