The Europa League finalists are still battling to retain their best youth talent while also pursuing the continent’s brightest prospects.
And now, the club’s gaze has returned to a familiar name.

The 14-year-old son of club legend Cristiano Ronaldo came off the bench in Portugal’s 4-1 win over Japan on Tuesday, wearing the iconic No.7 shirt as he showcased flashes of skill in the second half.

He joined Al-Nassr alongside his father following his time at Manchester United.
Sources close to the Portugal camp suggest that the United scout’s observations will be included in the club’s updated report on the youngster, with Amorim’s staff expected to keep tabs on his remaining tournament matches against Greece and England.
The match was attended by a large group of scouts from top clubs across Europe, including United’s Europa League final opponents Tottenham Hotspur.
According to local outlet Sportske Novosti, Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, RB Leipzig, Hoffenheim, Red Bull Salzburg, Inter Milan, Juventus and Atalanta all had representatives in attendance.
While Braga forward Rafael Cabral stole the show with a hat-trick, Ronaldo Jr’s performance did not go unnoticed — and United’s ongoing interest signals that the door remains open for a potential future return to Old Trafford.
