Man City now ready to submit £29m bid for Kyle Walker replacement who has just given green…

Man City and Kyle Walker are set to part ways this summer after spending the last eight years together.

Pep Guardiola turned Walker into one of the greatest right-backs the Premier League has ever seen, however, time has caught up to the English star, who is set to start a new chapter in his career this summer.

Real Madrid turned down the chance to sign Walker on loan in January, but that would not stop the 34-year-old from leaving, as he would secure a move to AC Milan for the second half of the current campaign.

The Serie A club have the option to sign the Man City star permanently this summer, but either way, the Englishman will leave the Etihad Stadium, which will require Guardiola to replace the full-back.

Man City have a player in mind, and it seems that he has given the green light for the Premier League club to come and get him.

Wesley is ready to move to Man City

It was reported last week that Man City are pushing to bring Flamengo’s Wesley to Manchester ahead of the new season, as the Brazilian is believed to be Guardiola’s number one target for the right-back role in his team.

Reports out of Brazil are now saying that the full-back has been in talks with Man City in recent days, with Coluna do Fla’s Pablo Rua stating that the youngster has already met and liked the English club’s project, which has intensified talks between all parties.

Man City are expected to submit an initial offer of £29m (€35m) for the Flamengo defender in the coming days as the Manchester club continues their push to replace Walker at the Etihad Stadium.

Liverpool are also interested in Wesley as Arne Slot looks to replace Trent Alexander-Arnold, while Rua mentions that Arsenal and Manchester United are in the race and have already contacted the player’s representatives.

The battle for the Brazilian talent seems like it is going to be a tough one, and should City fail to land the 21-year-old, Guardiola has three more alternatives.

Man City’s other right-back targets

Fabrizio Romano reported this week that Man City have a four-man list to replace Walker in Manchester, with Wesley being just one of the targets.

The other star that is known to be on the list is Newcastle’s Tino Livramento; however, signing the Englishman will be a tough task as he is very important to Eddie Howe and has a contract at St James’ Park until 2028.

Tino Livramento 43 0 1 3279

It is unclear who the other two players on the list are; however, Tottenham’s Pedro Porro is a player Man City have admired in the past, but just like Newcastle, Spurs will not want to let the full-back go, especially if they are playing in the Champions League next season.

Man City have also shown interest in Jeremie Frimpong in the build-up to the summer window as the Netherlands star is expected to leave Bayer Leverkusen over the coming weeks. Liverpool also have a strong attraction to the defender, while it is also unclear if the player wants to return to Manchester.
