Arsenal could make a shock move to sign Rodrygo from Real Madrid this summer.
The forward could be on the market during the summer transfer window following reports of a rift in the camp at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Rodrygo was not part of the Los Blancos squad for the Copa del Rey final defeat to Barcelona, nor the win over Celta Vigo in La Liga before making the squad for El Clasico on Sunday. However, he was an unused substitute in the big match.
According to Spanish outlet Marca, Rodrygo does not want to play for the club again. The report claims that the Brazilian feels 'displaced' after the 'media explosion' surrounding Jude Bellingham and Kylian Mbappe, which has created a rift with Vinicius Junior.
And Arsenal, given their desire to add to their front line in the summer transfer window, have emerged as a potential destination for the Brazilian.
Jude Bellingham has previously delivered an honest verdict about his teammate which will get Arsenal and their supporters excited.
Speaking to CBS Sports after the Champions League win over Manchester City, Bellingham said: "Rodrygo is so underrated. For me, he’s probably the most talented and most gifted player in the squad.
"The things he can do with the football. We’ll be messing around, and he’ll flick the ball up somehow, and you’re thinking: 'how’d he do that?' I’m twisting my ankles if I try that!"
Rodrygo has 13 goals and 10 assists in all competitions for Real this season and is contracted to remain in the Spanish capital until 2028. But if the relationship between player and club has fractured, Real may look to sell this summer to get the biggest bang for their buck when it comes to selling.
There will be a new manager coming in at the Bernabeu this summer, with Carlo Ancelotti leaving to take the vacant position with the Brazil national team. Xabi Alonso is heavily tipped to take over, having impressed in his first big managerial role with Bayer Leverkusen.
