Yesterday, Corriere dello Sport reported that Manchester City are considering offering €70m+ to AC Milan for Tijjani Reijnders.
The newspaper were sure that no contact had been made between the two parties but the possibility was being studied.
Calciomercato report on the Dutchman’s future today and they believe that ‘exploratory contacts’ have taken place between Manchester City and the midfielder’s entourage already.
AC Milan rate their player highly and are aware that interest will be growing.
Pep Guardiola has said to have put a ‘red circle’ around Reijnders’ name on his wanted list. The player isn’t viewed as a replacement for Kevin de Bruyne but an additional signing for the summer.
Manchester City are yet to speak to Milan about the transfer, and the report points out that the Rossoneri’s possible absence from the Champions League could force them into a sale.
The asking price is not expected to be an issue for the Citizens, who will be ready to meet Milan’s considerable demands for the playmaker.
