Liverpool reportedly met with Florian Wirtz and his family earlier this week to try and thrash out a blockbuster summer transfer. Manchester City have also been in contact with the Germany international, who is in high demand after another strong season in the Bundesliga.
Bayern Munich were presumed to be leading the race for Wirtz's signature, with reports indicating that the player had even given them a verbal commitment. But with two Premier League heavyweights also in the equation, the talented 22-year-old is still up for grabs.
According to Bild, Wirtz, his family and his father, Hans, who also acts as his agent, met up with Anfield bosses on Tuesday.
