New findings confirm that Premier League clubs have paid £150,950 for yellow and red cards over the past decade - with West Ham United found to be the fourth worst offenders.

The study, conducted by AskGamblers found that between the 2014/15 and 2023/24 season, 12,854 yellow cards and 498 red cards were issued during Premier League matches.

And over the past 10 full seasons, Premier League clubs racked up a total bill of £150,950 from yellow and red cards.

Yellow Cards cost clubs a combined £128,540 in penalties, with red cards costing a further £22,410 based on the average fine of £10 for a yellow card and £45 for a red card.

Manchester United were found to be the division’s biggest fine payers, forking out an estimated £8,395 for yellow and red cards between 2013/14 and 2023/24. In second place Arsenal accumulated a total cost of £8,015, while their north London rivals Tottenham ranked third, paying £7,960 in fines.

West Ham, next in the table paid a total of £6,480 for yellow cards and an additional £1,170 for reds - the joint highest figure along with Everton and Newcastle - giving United a total of £7,650 spent on card fines during the period in question.

The lowest offenders in the league were Leicester City, with a total of just £6,060 in fines recorded.
