Leeds United are considering making a move for Liverpool left-back Kostas Tsimikas in the summer transfer window, according to reports.
The Whites are preparing for life back in the Premier League following promotion from the Championship this season.
They are expected to be busy in the summer transfer window with claims that Daniel Farke could be given a budget of more than £100 million.
Leeds have already been linked with several potential transfers. The club will look to strengthen to avoid the fate of the six promoted teams over the last two seasons who have all suffered relegation back to the Championship.
According to the Daily Mail, Farke is looking to add Premier League experience to his squad. He could do so in his replacement for Junior Firpo who is set to join Real Betis in the summer. The report says that Liverpool’s Tsimikas is being eyed as a potential replacement.
The Greek international is expected to be available for transfer with Liverpool heavily linked with Bournemouth full-back Milos Kerkez, who will provide competition to Andy Robertson. It is not said how much Tsimikas is expected to cost if he is sold this summer.
He will have two years remaining on his contract at Anfield at the end of the season and joined Liverpool from Olympiakos for a fee of around £11.75m in August 2020.
Tsimikas is not the only Liverpool player Leeds have been linked with ahead of the summer window. The Whites are expected to be in the market for a goalkeeper when the window opens, with Caoimhin Kelleher reportedly one of the targets.
The Daily Mail adds that the Republic of Ireland international has been 'considered' by Leeds, but he is not the club's 'main target' to replace Illan Meslier. Who that main target is has not been disclosed.
