Davide Ancelotti could bring two Real Madrid stars with him if he makes the move to Rangers.
The son of arguably the best manager to ever grace world football, Carlo Ancelotti, is a strong contender for the vacancy at Ibrox.
The 35-year-old reportedly has an offer on the table from Glasgow chiefs as the 49ers Enterprises group close in on a replacement for interim boss Barry Ferguson.

Real Madrid stars to join Ancelotti at Rangers
If Ancelotti is handed the reins in Govan, there is the potential for Rangers’ transfer business to reach another level entirely.
A report from Defensa Central (13 May) claims that David Alaba and Ferland Mendy could make shock moves to Auchehowie.

It states that Florentino Perez would be happy to let them leave the Santiago Bernabeu due to the significant reduction in the wage bill.

Rangers supporters would be in dreamland if Alaba and Mendy signed
Those of the type of deals that only happen in video games, rather than in real life.
The Ibrox faithful would be in awe if they saw Alaba and Mendy putting on the famous Blue shirt on the turf in Govan.

However, they could be realistic moves given Ancelotti’s connections with Los Blancos, the only concern would be their recent injury histories.
That would be a gamble worth taking, though, as the experience and leadership that they would bring would be a major benefit in the dressing room at the very least, even if they were physically unable to perform on the pitch.
If they were able to feature regularly, it would be a dangerous proposition for Celtic and could help the Gers to bridge the gap more quickly in the short-term, albeit not a long-term solution to help the Light Blues catch up.
The potential moves give an insight into the kind of deals that Ancelotti could strike if he were appointed, and make the prospect of him roaming the touchlines a very tantalising one, even if his managerial experience is questionable.
The appointment of the Italian is a gamble but it is exactly the kind of ambition that the new ownership needs to show once their takeover is completed.
