Report: Man Utd in line for £2.5m cash boost this summer as 'incredible' player Ineos sold tipped for next step in…

Manchester United need all the additional funds possible this summer to facilitate the overhaul this squad needs.

Currently sitting 16th in the Premier League, this summer is expected to be a busy one for Manchester United. However, despite the work which needs to be done within Ruben Amorim’s squad, the funds are not necessarily available.

This could all change if United win the Europa League final against Tottenham next week, securing Champions League football worth at least £70m.

Another avenue of revenue for United could be in terms of sales, with Ineos preparing to offload at least 10 players from Amorim’s squad. This is a move that could raise plenty of funds and dramatically ease United’s wage bill.

Sales are due to be a big part of the funds raised, with Antony, Marcus Rashford, and Jadon Sancho all expected to be sold on a permanent basis.

In addition, United could benefit from previous sales, such as Mason Greenwood, who could be on for a big-money summer move. United could also find a little cash boost arriving from similar deals, which won’t dramatically change the situation.

Maxi Oyedele is now wanted by Shakhtar Donetsk after an impressive season

Last summer, United sold Maxi Oyedele to Legia Warsaw for an upfront fee of just £500,000, which was an absolute bargain considering the talent he possesses.

Oyedele has since made his senior Poland debut, and has enjoyed an impressive all-round campaign for the Polish side. This led to Oyedele being lauded as having ‘unbelievable potential’, and now he could be making the next step in his career.

It has been reported by the Polish outlet Meczyki that Oyedele could depart Legia this summer, having already earned the attention of other clubs.

Due to his impressive debut campaign, the report states, Shakhtar Donetsk are currently looking at Oyedele in a bid to strengthen their squad for the Conference League next season.

The Ukrainian side are so keen that they initially had prepared to spend £6.7m to sign Oyedele until they discovered a release clause existed which could see him available for just £5m.

How much will Manchester United get from the Maxi Oyedele sale

Oyedele has earned praise for his ‘incredible’ campaign at Legia so far, and it is no shock that there is interest in his signature.

Against Chelsea last month, Oyedele was impressive, which was his breakout performance against Premier League opposition to surely putting himself in the eyes of European clubs.

Where it impacts United comes in the form of the 50 per cent sell-on clause, which Ineos negotiated into the contract last summer.

This means that United will receive roughly £2.5m from this transfer. This doesn’t sound like a lot, and for United, it isn’t. However, it would be a useful sum which could be dedicated to wages or to paying off most of Diego Leon’s transfer sum.
