**Newcastle United manager Eddie Howe had a bit of a health scare last month when he ended up being hospitalised with pneumonia.**
After feeling sick and missing work for a few days, one of the club doctors advised the Newcastle boss to visit the hospital, and a week-long stay at the RVI as he was treated for pneumonia was the result.
Jason Tindall took over duties at the club as Howe was forced to rest, although he did manage to watch the games from his hospital bed.
Eddie Howe returned to the dugout for the game against Ipswich, probably much sooner than anyone had anticipated, but it was perfect timing as it seemed to spur the lads on to a 3-0 win after a heavy defeat against Aston Villa the week before.

Eddie Howe paid a visit to the RVI and brought a special gift for one of the doctors

Now, almost back to full fitness, Eddie Howe has returned to the RVI to thank the staff for everything they did, but one woman whom he was really hoping to see was on holiday.
Howe managed to catch up with lifelong Burnley fan Charlotte via a video call where he showed her the gift he'd brought her - a Burnley shirt and he also invited her to be his guest when Burnley visit St James' Park next season.
On the call, Howe admitted that he was 'getting a bit emotional'.
Eddie Howe just oozes class at all times

It just shows what a class act Eddie Howe really is. Cynics may view it as a shocking PR stunt given the fact that Shay Given and a camera crew went along with them, but if you've ever paid any attention to Eddie Howe, you'd know that this is something he would have done regardless.
The club would have been mental not to try and cash in on it with a nice bit of PR work, but that aspect of it certainly won't have come from Howe.
His kindness and thoughtfulness never cease to amaze us as fans and they are a couple of many reasons we hope Eddie Howe sticks around at this club for a while yet.
