Sasa Kalajdzic has endured a pretty miserable spell at Wolves.
The Austria international came to Molineux in the summer of 2022 on the watch of Bruno Lage, and was meant to be a successor to Raul Jimenez.
But on his debut against Southampton, Sasa Kalajdzic suffered an ACL injury – which was the second of his career.
He’d miss the rest of that season, and then – after recovering – he made a handful of appearances for Wolves in the first half of 2023/24, before heading out on loan to Eintracht Frankfurt in the mid-season window.
But the injury curse struck again, with Kalajdzic suffering yet another ACL injury just a few weeks after joining the German outfit.
His terrible luck with injuries has now cast doubt over his future at Wolves – and the player appears to have dropped a hint about next season in a new interview.

There has been a lot of sympathy for Kalajdzic with his injury struggles since he came to Wolves.
The striker is very highly thought of behind the scenes at Wolves and fans have always loved how he has come across in videos and media put out for fans.
MORE WOLVES STORIES
It’s been a huge shame that he hasn’t been able to play many games for Wolves.
And Kalajdzic – who recently returned to full training at Wolves – has now suggested that he may not be at Wolves next season, as he seeks to take the next step after recovering from injury.
He told BILD: “There are still a few conversations to be had before I know where the journey will take us in the summer.
“I don’t want to rule anything out. I can’t speak for Wolves either. The Premier League is one step above the Bundesliga in terms of speed and intensity. It may not be the best league to come back after an injury.”
Kalajdzic loan may be best option
It will be intriguing to see what happens with Kalajdzic this summer.
Journalist Liam Keen suggested Kalajdzic could head out on loan and these comments do suggest that idea is in his thinking at the moment.

Appearances – 14
Minutes played – 327
Goals – 3
Assists – 1
The Premier League certainly is intense, so Kalajdzic may be better served playing in a different league so he can get up to speed again.
But the player says talks have not been held yet, so it’s all up in the air. Maybe Vitor Pereira will look at him in pre-season and come to a different conclusion.
