Manchester United will seek to end the season on a high by beating Tottenham Hotspur to the Europa League title at San Mames Stadium next week.
Tottenham have not lost any of their last five games against United across all competitions and have beaten them three times this season.
Diogo Dalot believes United will not be mentally affected by the three consecutive losses ahead of next week’s showdown.
He told reporters via BeanymanSports: “Honestly, it does not matter if they beat us during the season.
“I just know that when the time comes, the team has to be really focused. I think everybody will be focused.
“We just have to be Man United for one more special night, win that game and bring the trophy to Manchester.”
United have recently experienced playing in a major final and winning. They won the FA Cup last season at Manchester City’s expense.
By contrast, Spurs have not been in a final since losing to Man City in the League Cup in 2021 and have not won a trophy since 2008.
However, Dalot believes the Red Devils’ winning experience will not give them an edge over Ange Postecoglou’s side.
“It will give you a perception of what you have done before,” Dalot added. “It does not necessarily mean we are going to win or lose the game.
“We are talking of one game of football, one bad day for one team, one good day for the other. We just have to work as much as we can and be completely focused so that we can end the game happy.
“We will have time to analyse the team – to analyse the type of game we want to play as well. In the end, we have to find a way to win.”
The Portugal international faces a race against time to be fit for the final and is ‘pushing hard’ to feature in the contest.
