Premier League champions Liverpool travel to the south coast to face Brighton and Hove Albion in their final away game of the season on Monday.
The Reds were held to a 2-2 draw by second-placed Arsenal in their last outing, and head coach Arne Slot will be desperate to see his side improve when they visit The Amex.
Having cruised to the top flight title in his first season in charge at Anfield, Slot will likely want to bolster his squad this summer in an effort to defend their crown next term.
With that in mind, it appears that the Merseyside outfit have reached an agreement with a Bundesliga star.
As per Football Insider, Liverpool have reached a verbal agreement with Bayer Leverkusen wing-back Jeremie Frimpong.
The Reds are set to lose Trent Alexander-Arnold when his contract expires this summer, and the report suggests that those in charge of the club have identified Frimpong as an ideal replacement for the England international.

Frimpong, 24, joined Leverkusen from Scottish champions Celtic in 2021 and has since made 190 appearances for the German outfit across all competitions.
He played a key role for Xabi Alonso’s side during the 2023/24 campaign, as Leverkusen lifted the Bundesliga title for the first time in the club’s history.
Frimpong is under contract until the end of the 2027/28 campaign having signed an extension last year, but his deal includes a release clause of just under £30 million and he is therefore expected to depart his current club this summer.
The player himself is said to be open to the idea of a move to Anfield, with Alexander-Arnold set to vacate the role as Liverpool’s first choice on the right side of defence.
