Pietro Comuzzo won’t leave Fiorentina for less than £20million this summer with Manchester United keen on the defender, sources have told Football Insider.
Ruben Amorim is set to be on the hunt for defensive reinforcements this summer in accordance with his back-three system at Old Trafford, particularly after Leny Yoro’s injury suffered against West Ham.
However, sources have told Football Insider that Comuzzo won’t come cheap if Man United decide to pursue a deal for the 20-year-old, with Fiorentina set to demand a transfer fee of at least £20m to £25m.
Comuzzo recently signed a new deal with Fiorentina until 2028 and Football Insider sources have said the defender is on United’s list “for the future”, with doubts that they’ll be able to sign him this summer.

Man United could miss out on Comuzzo transfer for one key reason
Man United’s ability to tempt transfer targets with Champions League football next season rests on the Europa League Final against Tottenham, with both sides stuck in the bottom half of the Premier League.
As a result, sources have told Football Insider that an approach for Comuzzo may have to wait until next summer, but interest from Arsenal, Chelsea and Newcastle could see the Red Devils miss out altogether.

That trio all look more likely to participate in next season’s Champions League and could beat United to Camuzzo’s signature, after the Italy Under-20 international’s breakout Serie A campaign with Fiorentina.
Football Insider sources have said that both Jonny Evans and Victor Lindelof are expected to leave Old Trafford once their contracts expire, but Jim Ratcliffe will struggle to bring in Comuzzo as a replacement.

Ruben Amorim outlines transfer priority at Man United
The Red Devils have previously done business with Fiorentina in the form of Sofyan Amrabat’s loan move to Old Trafford in 2023–24, and David de Gea also moved to Florence after his United contract expired.
With both Yoro and Matthijs de Ligt injured ahead of the Europa League Final as Evans and Lindelof look set to depart this summer, Amorim’s currently well-stocked defence could soon look rather threadbare.
United’s former chief scout Mick Brown has told Football Insider that Amorim wants Harry Maguire to sign a new deal with the Red Devils as a result, and it’s also no surprise to see their interest in Comuzzo come to a head.
