Ace Bailey Makes Feelings About Kevin Durant Clear Before NBA Draft

The NBA Draft Lottery provided plenty of fireworks on Monday night.

The Dallas Mavericks received the No. 1 overall pick despite having just a 1.8% chance of doing so.

Perhaps just as shockingly, the San Antonio Spurs obtained the No. 2 pick, with the Philadelphia 76ers getting the third overall pick.

Unfortunately for the Phoenix Suns, they don't have their own first-round selection and instead get the Cleveland Cavaliers' No. 29 pick.

Ace Bailey makes Kevin Durant feelings clear

Ace Bailey was one of the more exciting prospects to watch this past college basketball season while he was at Rutgers.

The 6-foot-10, 200-pound Chattanooga native averaged 17.6 points per game with 7.2 rebounds and 1.3 blocks per game.

While incredibly raw, Bailey has the shot-making ability to come in and get his shots right away.

His ability to knock down the mid-range jumper, particularly off the dribble will likely have NBA teams falling in love with Bailey's upside.

At the NBA combine, Bailey was asked who he compares his style of play to.

"Big 3. [Kevin Durant], Paul George and Jayson Tatum," Bailey said. "George and Tatum, their creation for them to get their shot off is unbelievable. I see myself doing the same thing. KD in the mid post with one, two dribbles, or less is straight buckets."

There's surely no lack of confidence in Bailey's game, which will be a huge feather in his cap when he first sees NBA defenses and action.

While there are still plenty of areas of his game that need honing, Bailey's skillset is perfect for him to come in and get his stats right away for a team that will likely be yearning for them.

In ESPN's latest mock draft, Jonathan Givony and Jeremy Woo have Bailey slated to the Sixers at No. 3.
