Even though the Indiana Pacers upset the Cleveland Cavaliers, the New York Knicks look poised to upset the Boston Celtics, and the Western Conference playoffs feature a thrilling series between the Oklahoma City Thunder and Denver Nuggets, the biggest name in the NBA world right now is Cooper Flagg.
The Duke standout is expected to be drafted first overall by the Dallas Mavericks after they shockingly won the draft lottery, and he will have the burden of the franchise on his shoulders as soon as he steps onto an NBA court.
Flagg recently gave his thoughts on the Indiana Pacers and Tyrese Haliburton, who was named the most overrated player in an anonymous poll published by The Athletic before the postseason started.
Since then, Haliburton has two game-winning shots to his name and is a massive reason why the Pacers have emerged as title threats. Flagg disagrees with the rest of the league, proclaiming Haliburton the most underrated player in the Association.
"I would say Tyrese Halliburton because people hate him and call him overrated all the time, and say he's not that good, but he's just such a good basketball player," answered Flagg.
NCAA champion Walter Clayton Jr. agreed with Flagg, and Derik Queen gave a shocking answer: Dennis Schroder.
Other players receiving votes among the prospects for "most underrated" were Amen and Ausar Thompson, Cade Cunningham, Jaden McDaniels, Derrick White, Jrue Holiday, Bam Adebayo, Aaron Gordon, and Draymond Green.
The 2025 draft class is expected to be one of the best and deepest in recent memory, and the Pacers will pick 23rd overall. Flagg will be long gone by then, but Clayton Jr. could still be on the board.
