The Golden State Warriors will be without Stephen Curry on Wednesday night when they fight to keep their season alive in Game 5 against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
After taking Game 1 of the series and losing Curry to a hamstring injury, the Warriors have lost three straight. They have been close in a couple of those games, but have been unable to make the necessary plays down the stretch to pull off a key win.
While there was hope that Curry might return in Game 5, the announcement was made that he wasn't quite ready to go and will be re-evaluated on Saturday.
Prior to the elimination game, Golden State sent out a three-word message on X.
"For The Bay," the post read.
In Game 4, the Warriors lost by a final score of 117-110. Jonathan Kuminga came off the bench to score 23 points to lead the way for Golden State. No one else had a big game alongside him.
Jimmy Butler did not rise to the occasion, scoring just 14 points and taking nine shots. Draymond Green scored 14, Buddy Hield scored 13, and Brandin Podziemski scored 11.
For the Warriors to come back in Game 5 and pick up a win, they are going to need a lot more from Butler and Hield. If those two players can step up with big-time performances, Golden State might have a shot at extending the series.

Julius Randle and Anthony Edwards have been tough for Golden State to handle all series long. Finding a way to slow them down is vital in Game 5.
Game 5 will tip off at 9:30 p.m. ET and will be aired on TNT.
