Inter Milan are eyeing Man Utd’s Joshua Zirkzee for a loan move with a buy option, as per Il Corriere dello Sport.
Joshua Zirkzee Fails to Impress at Old Trafford
Joshua Zirkzee’s debut season in the Premier League has been far from great. Signed from Bologna for €40 million, the 23-year-old Dutchman has only scored seven times in all competitions. His lack of impact and inconsistent form of teammate Rasmus Højlund, has left Man Utd struggling for firepower up top.
It’s no secret that their poor attack has played a big role in their poor Premier League run this season. Zirkzee was brought in under Erik ten Hag. But, even with new manager Ruben Amorim, the forward hasn’t shown signs of improvement.
The Red Devils are now looking for new attacking talents like Ipswich’s Liam Delap and Wolves’ Matheus Cunha. The Dutch striker’s place in next season’s plans looks shaky at best.
Inter Milan Keeping Tabs on the Dutchman
🚨 NEW: #Inter is interested in signing Joshua Zirkzee on loan with the option to buy. The 23-year-old could become an opportunity should Manchester United fail to win the Europa League and qualify for the 2025-26 Champions League. 🇳🇱

Despite his rough patch in England, Inter Milan believe Zirkzee still has untapped potential. The Serie A club are considering a loan with an option to buy. That could become permanent under certain conditions.
The Inter management rates the forward’s technical ability. And they want him alongside Lautaro Martínez and Marcus Thuram. Even more significant is Zirkzee’s decent previous experience in Italy. At the time, he had scored 14 goals from 53 appearances for Bologna. So, it will undoubtedly play a factor as Zirkzee could be a good option moving forward.
Furthermore, Zirkzee were to return to Serie A, he’ll get a new opportunity to regain his form. While ultimately we don’t know what will be the final decision for United. But, it looks like the club is preparing for a very active summer in the transfer window. And Zirkzee may be turning out at somewhere other than Old Trafford.
