Newcastle United will never play at Goodison Park again.
Everton are preparing to say goodbye to their historic stadium this weekend, as they play Southampton in their final game at Goodison Park.
They will move into their new home at Bramley Moore Dock next season, at a time when there is speculation over a new Newcastle United stadium.
There will be an extremely emotional goodbye if Newcastle United decide to leave St James’ Park.
Everton are saying goodbyes of their own right now, as players from their past and present reflect on their Goodison Park memories.

That includes Jordan Pickford.
During an interview with Everton’s official website, the goalkeeper has been asked to recall his best ever Goodison Park moments.
Pickford was asked to name the funniest thing he has ever seen at Goodison Park, and his answer will certainly not amuse Newcastle United fans.

The game that Pickford is referring to took place in March 2022.
Early in the second half, a Just Stop Oil protester tied themselves to the post using a cable tie. It resulted in an eight-minute delay, as stewards struggled to remove the 21-year-old from the pitch.
Bolt cutters were required, as play ground to a halt.
The delay resulted in 14 minutes of stoppage time, with Alex Iwobi going on to score the only goal of the game in the 99th minute.
Newcastle United’s final ever appearance at Goodison Park
Newcastle United’s final ever appearance at Goodison Park came in October 2024.
The Magpies and Everton shared the points, with both sides playing out a 0-0 draw.
However, it was Eddie Howe’s side who had the best chance to win it. Sandro Tonali was fouled in the box in the first half, resulting in Newcastle receiving a penalty.
Anthony Gordon’s penalty was saved by Pickford, much to the delight of the Everton faithful. After all, Gordon is hardly popular on Merseyside following his departure to Tyneside in 2023.
