Manchester City are now just two days out from the FA Cup final as Pep Guardiola looks to add another trophy to his already impressive collection.

City make the trip to Wembley on Saturday to take on Crystal Palace as they look to end a difficult season on a positive note by winning some silverware.

And away from the pitch, the transfer rumour mill is already turning and City are expected to be busy in the summer market - both in terms of incomings and outgoings.

With all of that in mind, here's a look at your morning Man City headlines on Thursday, May 15.

Leeds consider McAtee move

Manchester City are in the middle of a rebuild of their midfield but one midfielder who has been attracting plenty of attention this season is James McAtee.

The club rejected offers for him last season because Pep Guardiola wanted to keep him, and also turned down opportunities in the January transfer window.

As he approaches the final year of his contract at the Etihad, City have a big decision to make on McAtee this summer.

Here is the state of play with the midfielder as we approach the start of the transfer window.

Four City players enter last chance saloon

With three games left this season, some Manchester City players are running out of time to fight for their futures at the club.

City made Kevin De Bruyne's decision for him, while Scott Carson is the only other player out of contract in the summer after an extra year was triggered in Ilkay Gundogan's deal.

Pep Guardiola admits an overhaul is needed this summer and it's already started with four signings added in January.

With more money expected to be spent in the coming months, some players will have to leave to facilitate the new arrivals.

Even Guardiola's assertion that bigger squads are inevitable with more games expected of elite clubs won't save some familiar names.

Kovacic's alarming cup final record

Mateo Kovacic should have played his way into the Manchester City team for the FA Cup Final after a barnstorming performance against Nottingham Forest. The Croatian was superb in the semi-final to book City's place in a third successive final.

However, if Pep Guardiola is feeling superstitious he may think twice about turning to his experienced midfielder. Kovacic has won plenty of major honours with teams including Chelsea and Real Madrid, yet the FA Cup has always eluded him.

Saturday will be the fifth time Kovacic has made it to an FA Cup Final and he has played in three of the four games in previous years. On each occasion, with Chelsea in 2020 and 2022 and City in 2024, he has ended up on the losing side.
