Despite interest from home and abroad, West Ham are still reportedly intent on luring one of their top targets to London Stadium in the summer. Yesterdays Claret and Hugh article detailed the lucrative five year offer which has been presented by BlueCo, the owners of the Chelsea / Strasbourg virtual ‘co-operative.’
CJ Egan-Riley has been described as one of West Ham’s top targets: Fitting the age profile of the new era-Potter brigade, he’d be a shoe-in for Potter’s three centre-back system alongside Max Kilman and Jean Clair Todibo but without the £40 million Kilman price tag. West Ham are in need of additions if their current stand-off with Nayef Aguerd doesn’t go favourably and the Moroccan cannot be talked round.
Hammers’ fan and Guardian Journalist Jacob Steinberg tweeted yesterday that “West Ham are continuing to look at a deal for Burnley centre-back CJ Egan-Riley despite interest from elsewhere.”
