Ujiri, 54, is currently the president of the Toronto Raptors.

He has led the franchise since 2013 and was the architect of the team's first-ever NBA championship in 2019. However, Stein notes that it's unclear how realistic Atlanta's chances are of prying Ujiri away from Toronto.

Saratsis, meanwhile, is the Co-Managing Director of Octagon Basketball, where he oversees the agency's basketball division. Octagon represents more than 40 players, including MVPs and NBA champions Giannis Antetokounmpo and Stephen Curry.

Saratsis personally manages several of the firm's top clients, including Antetokounmpo.

The Hawks parted ways with general manager Landry Fields in April, promoting Onsi Saleh in the interim. The team also announced plans to hire a new president of basketball operations and brought in a consulting firm to lead the search.
