Manchester United have initiated fresh contact over Atalanta midfielder Ederson's potential arrival this summer, journalist Alfredo Pedulla has claimed.
The Red Devils have reportedly retained their interest in the Brazilian international ahead of the transfer window, almost 12 months after being heavily linked with a move for the 25-year-old.
While there were suggestions of a possible €50m deal last summer, Pedulla claims United will now have to pay in excess of that to secure the 'out of this world' midfielder.
Ederson, who joined Atalanta from Salernitana in 2022, has just over two years remaining on his contract, which runs until June 2027.

Man United reportedly considered a move for Ederson before opting to bring in Manuel Ugarte from Paris Saint-Germain last summer, which eased their midfield concerns for the time being.
However, 12 months later, the Red Devils are anticipating changes in the middle of the park again, with Christian Eriksen set to depart on a free transfer and Casemiro soon entering the final year of his deal.
As a result, United are assessing their options in the market alongside their pursuit of Matheus Cunha, with Ederson believed to be among potential targets after another strong season in Italy.
The Brazilian, praised as ‘one of the best players in Serie A’, has been exceptional for Atalanta this term, scoring five goals and providing two assists in 38 appearances across all competitions.
His contributions have helped the Bergamo-based club climb to third in Serie A with two games remaining, which would be their best league finish in the last four years.
