Juventus star Dusan Vlahovic could be on his way to Newcastle United in the summer transfer window, according to reports - with the Serbian star reportedly seeing the Magpies become the side who are 'above the rest' in the quest to land him in the coming months.
44 Serie A goals in just 98 games for Fiorentina saw Vlahovic become one of the most wanted strikers in the world, and signing for Juventus in January 2022, he's nabbed a similar record with 42 strikes in 102 Serie A games for the Turin-based outfit - an exemplary record that has almost seen him become part of the division's '100 Club' at the age of 25.

The report by Gazetta dello Sport, via SportWitness, states that Vlahovic wants to 'finish on a high note' when Juventus face Udinese at the weekend, in their final home match of the Serie A campaign - with the striker's future being in doubt for a number of months now.

It's thought that he is edging towards the exit door at Juventus if a buyer can be found, with the report stating that he wants to depart in dreamlike circumstances by scoring at the Allianz Stadium over the weekend - with the Premier League being a 'likely option' for his services.
Newcastle, above all, are the club linked with Vlahovic the most. His £315,000-per-week contract runs out next summer, and despite nabbing 14 goals for the Bianconeri so far this season, they can't afford to risk him going for free - and with no renewal on the horizon, Newcastle should be able to negotiate a reasonable price.
Whether their interest is dependent on the exit of Alexander Isak remains to be seen, but Vlahovic would be an astute addition in the north east, having been linked heavily with the likes of Chelsea, Liverpool and Arsenal in the past.
Being Juventus' top scorer is no easy feat, and Eddie Howe will be aware that bringing the 'monster forward' into his squad would propel Newcastle massively in terms of their consistent Champions League pushes, given that the club need just one win from their final two games to finish in the top five, barring a major goal swing in terms of goal difference.
