Napoli will struggle to complete a permanent deal for Man City fringe star Jack Grealish, sources have told Football Insider.
Football Insider revealed on Tuesday (12 May) that City star Grealish will seek assurances on his future from manager Pep Guardiola this summer.
Napoli have been widely linked with the England international, 29, ahead of the off-season.
It is believed Grealish would be open to joining the Serie A title challengers – but sources say doing a permanent deal as well as meeting his “massive” wage demands will be a struggle for the Italian side.
Napoli can only submit Grealish loan offer
The prospect of the move is appealing to the ex-Aston Villa star following Scott McTominay and Billy Gilmour’s success in Naples.
However, they may have to persuade Man City to accept a loan offer for the winger – who still has two years to run on his Etihad Stadium contract.

Grealish has not played a minute in each of the last four Premier League games and has started just seven top-flight matches this term.
He joined City for £100million four years ago and has won three league titles and the Champions League at the Etihad Stadium.
The 39-cap England international was not part of Thomas Tuchel’s first Three Lions squad earlier this year.

Eze in FA Cup final ‘audition’
Football Insider has revealed (13 May) that Eberechi Eze sees the FA Cup final as an “audition” ahead of a prospective move from Crystal Palace to Man City.
Man City take on Palace at Wembley on 17 May with a chance to deny Oliver Glasner’s side the first major silverware in their history.
Eze has attracted interest from City as they search for a long-term replacement for Kevin De Bruyne.
