Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim insists there are places still up for grabs in his Europa League final XI.

United suffered a fresh injury setback with the withdrawal of Leny Yoro in the 2-0 Premier League defeat to West Ham United on Sunday and they could be without four centre backs for next Wednesday's final against Tottenham Hotspur.

Lisandro Martinez is out until next season after he ruptured his anterior cruciate ligament, Ayden Heaven has been out for two months with an ankle problem and Matthijs de Ligt is also sidelined with a knee injury.

Harry Maguire is a certainty to start his first final for United in Bilbao. Noussair Mazraoui and Luke Shaw were picked in the back three against West Ham while Victor Lindelof lined up in both semi-final legs against Athletic Bilbao.

Maguire, Mazraoui, Andre Onana, Patrick Dorgu, Casemiro, Manuel Ugarte, Bruno Fernandes, Amad and Rasmus Hojlund are all probable starters. Diogo Dalot, recovering from a calf injury, is pushing to be available.

"I don’t know," Amorim said when asked if the United team against Chelsea on Friday would resemble his starting XI against Spurs. "I know the starting 11 I am thinking for Chelsea and then I will see. Even the way we play there against Chelsea I will see it and it will be important for the next one.

"The best way is to face the game like we should face the game: it is to win the game. We need to perform, to win points in Premier League and that is the feeling. We talked about that after West Ham.

"We need to improve in the way we face competitions and stay focused in every moment of the game. Against West Ham we had clear situations to score, in the first situation they have, they score. These details matter.

"The only way I know how to prepare a final is, in the normal game for our league, we must play the same way as a final.

"We have to try to recover, the best thing to prepare the final is to play the game and then the players have to understand if you play or don’t play against Chelsea, it means nothing to the final. That is important.

"I am just preparing the game of Chelsea. That is my focus. We want to win and we want to perform."

United are certain to record at least their joint-lowest top flight finish of 13th since they were relegated in 1974 but they could end the season as low as 17th. United's final game is against sixth-placed Aston Villa, on the same number of points as fellow Champions League chasers Chelsea.

West Ham inflicted a 17th league defeat on United, who have a -11 goal difference. Amorim admitted he would sound like "a crazy guy" to suggest United's current position of 16th is false.

"It is hard to talk about that without looking like a crazy guy," he added. "But if you see the expected goals in the last games ours is bigger.

"Against Wolves, we were so near and they score a goal from a set piece. It was the first time they reach our goal and they score. Then we had opportunities, especially in the second half.

"I can understand that and manage that but it is hard to talk about that in this moment. Let’s focus on finishing in a good way and then we will prepare the future at the end of the season."
