Former Everton manager Sean Dyche reveals the club he’d absolutely love to manage

Sean Dyche has been out of work since leaving Everton at the turn of the year.

The Friedkin Group sacked Sean Dyche in January and replaced him with David Moyes, who’s done a terrific job.

Dyche has been linked with a number of clubs in the Premier League and Championship, with West Bromwich Albion reportedly making him a ‘frontrunner’ for their vacancy.

Leicester have been eyeing Dyche, too, with Ruud van Nistelrooy’s future at the club far from secure following relegation.

Speaking on the Stick to Football podcast, the former Everton manager has now revealed which club he’d love to manage.

Sean Dyche would love to manage Manchester United

Dyche lifted the lid on a lot of Everton stories in a podcast with Gary Neville, Jill Scott, Roy Keane, Ian Wright and Paul Scholes this week.

Dyche shared his favourite memory of Goodison Park and also spoke about the concerns he has for the club when they move into the new Bramley-Moore Dock Stadium next season.

Neville then asked him about what he’d love his next job to be.

“As in anywhere? It was always Man U was the job that I said, because of the size of the club, not because it’s Man U, it’s because of the sheer grandeur.

“Particularly back then, you know, I mean, I know it’s suffering a bit a minute, but you know, the whole world, which you guys know, but the worldwide feel of it, you know what I mean? And I saw that’s a big, big, super-powered club, you know what I mean?”

Leicester City very keen on Sean Dyche

Indeed, Sean Dyche’s next job won’t be with Manchester United – that’s his dream.

But, realistically, it’ll likely be a Championship position and Leicester City are showing a serious interest in the Englishman.

The Foxes want to bounce straight back to the Premier League and it’s understood that sporting director Jon Rudkin is a big admirer, as per talkSPORT.

Dyche already has two Championship promotions on his CV, so clearly he’s well-qualified for the Leicester job.

It will all depend on what decision they make on Van Nistelrooy, who has impressed bosses in recent weeks.

The East Midlanders have picked up three results in their last five games, which is certainly an improvement.
