Sean Dyche’s recent words have caused a lot of controversy surrounding the directors at Everton.
Ever since Dyche left the club, Everton have been on the up, and much of that is down to the work done by David Moyes at Goodison Park.
However, battle scars are still present on Merseyside from his tenure, with plenty of debate ongoing behind the scenes.
Much of that focus has been on the ownership during Dyche’s time there, with the ex-Everton boss now accused of misrepresenting Toffees supporters with a claim made this week.

Dyche hits out at Everton fan treatment
As soon as Everton looked as though they were facing a relegation battle, tensions were getting higher and higher on Merseyside, which ultimately led to a lot of disagreement between senior figures at the club and fans.
MORE TOFFEES STORIES
That regression ultimately led to TFG sacking Dyche, which proved to be the start of their revival, but the former boss’ comments haven’t gone unnoticed.
Speaking via The Overlap, Dyche said: “At the time, the Chairman couldn’t come to the game. The chief exec couldn’t come to the game. Thats not ideal, they’re gonna get hammered and death threats and boos and all that.”
The Esk immediately hit back at those comments via a post on X, which reads: “How on earth can Sean Dyche get away with perpetuating the “risk to directors” myth on the Overlap, particularly with Ian Wright being present & having an understanding of the situation.
“Appalling misrepresentation of Everton fans.”
Of course, Wright publicly came out and apologised to Everton supporters at the time, knowing that the story was fabricated, but he failed to correct Dyche’s claims despite sitting next to him.

Everton have chance to move on from their past
Everton fans simply want nothing but the best for their club, and with TFG in charge and Moyes at the helm, they are on their way to finding that success.
Stories full of false claims will do nothing but halt that progress, and Wright’s inability to correct the comments certainly hasn’t gone down well.
All Dyche has done with these comments is showcase his lack of understanding of the club he was managing, while also massively disrepecting the supporters.
