The Minnesota Timberwolves are headed back to the Western Conference Finals for the second consecutive year — a feat not accomplished since the 2019 Warriors. Behind a dominant all-around performance from Anthony Edwards and Julius Randle, the Wolves closed out Golden State with a 121-110 win, sealing a 4-1 series victory.
Minnesota controlled the game early, building a 25-point lead in the third quarter. Randle scored 29 points on 13-of-18 shooting, while Rudy Gobert added 17 points and eight boards. Edwards orchestrated the offense with a playoff career-high 12 assists, adding 22 points, seven rebounds, and three blocks.

Edwards erupted for 16 points in the second half, surpassing 1,000 career playoff points before turning 24 — joining elite company: Kobe Bryant, Tony Parker, LeBron James, Kevin Durant, and Jayson Tatum. He’s also just the second-youngest player since 1971 to lead his team in playoff scoring across back-to-back Conference Finals runs, trailing only Durant.
With Steph Curry sidelined for a fourth straight game, rookie Brandin Podziemski led the Warriors with a playoff career-high 28 points. Still, Golden State couldn’t withstand Minnesota’s firepower, as six Wolves scored in double figures and the team dished out 36 assists while shooting 62.8% inside the arc.
“The most together team and the most mature team is the team that wins around this time,” Edwards said. “It’s not about who gets 30 points … it’s about coming together.”
Minnesota now awaits the winner of the Thunder-Nuggets series, with Oklahoma City currently leading 3-2. The Wolves will open the West Finals on the road.
