Livepool target's reply after missing out on PL Young player of the Season shortlist is going…

Bournemouth defender Milos Kerkez has sent Liverpool fans into meltdown following his reaction to being snubbed for the PFA Young Player of the Year award. The Hungarian has been in outstanding form for the Cherries throughout the course of the 2024/25 season and has been pivotal in their push for a best-ever Premier League finish.

The budding full-back has long been linked with a move away from the Vitality Stadium as a result of his performances over the last 18 months, with Anfield touted as a possible destination and Kerkez viewed as a long-term replacement for Andy Robertson. With rumours only growing stronger as the summer transfer window draws ever closer, the full-back has now got Reds fans excited after he wasn't included in the YPOTY shortlist.

It was announced earlier today which eight players had been listed for the prestigious end-of-season award, with Cole Palmer being included despite his woeful form since the turn of the year. Arsenal's William Saliba, Liverpool's Ryan Gravenberch and Nottingham Forest's Anthony Elanga also made the cut.

However, Kerkez was conspicuous by his absence, prompting fury on social media. This led one fan to defend the full-back's case, giving evidence as to why he should have made the final eight, stating: "Kerkez should be on the shortlist at the very least. Ridiculous he didn’t get a nomination after the season he has had. He ranks third for goal contributions among players aged 21 or younger and he’s a full-back."

Among the comments on the post was one left by Kerkez himself, who seemed to make a reference to the rumours surrounding his future which have left many Liverpool supporters excited.

"Don’t worry, someone else saw it," replied the youngster, insinuating that he had potentially impressed another manager with his performances this season.

Responses to the comment were rife with suggestions that the person in question was Arne Slot, as murmurs of a potential move to Merseyside continue to persist. One person asked: "Did his name rhyme with Barney’s Hot?" Another said: "Arne Slot did, come and join us."
