Milos Kerkez has appeared to drop a big transfer hint amid Liverpool interest.
The 21-year-old Hungarian international has emerged as the Reds’ top target for the left-back position, with Bournemouth valuing him at around £45–50 million.
Milos Kerkez’s switch to agent Fali Ramadani – who oversaw Federico Chiesa’s transfer to Liverpool in 2024 – could make negotiations for a potential move to Anfield more straightforward.
Meanwhile, Bournemouth owner Bill Foley has already stated he won’t block any players from leaving this summer, with the club needing to sell some squad members to meet FFP requirements.
However, a caveat of the move would mean either Andy Robertson or Kostas Tsimikas moving on, as David Ornstein previously reported.
Liverpool’s confidence in landing Kerkez is high.
The player himself is said to be open to the move, especially given the opportunity to play alongside compatriot Dominik Szoboszlai at Anfield.
Now the player himself has seemingly hinted that a summer move is coming.
Hungarian reporter Bence Bocsak posted on X this Thursday afternoon that Milos Kerkez should be on the shortlist for the Premier League Young Player of the Season award.
He wrote:
“Milos Kerkez should be on the shortlist at the very least.”
“Ridiculous he didn’t get a nomination after the season he has had.”
“He ranks third for goal contributions among players aged 21 or younger and he’s a full-back.”
Kerkez himself, on his X account that is followed by both Bournemouth and the Hungary national team, cryptically replied:
“Don’t worry, someone else saw it” complete with a winking emoji to add to the intrigue.
This is far from the first time the player has hinted that a summer move is forthcoming.
In an interview with The Athletic earlier this year, Kerkez stated: “As a kid, you dream to play at the highest level, win the trophies, be on the best teams… In the summer, we will see what happens.”
For those of you who have been around transfer stories before, “we’ll see what happens” is normally a big indicator that the player will be on the move in the near future.
Arne Slot certainly seems to have less sentimentality than his predecessor, and all signs point toward the Dutchman making the difficult decision of letting Andy Robertson or Kostas Tsimikas go this summer.
Don’t worry ,someone else saw it.😉
