Manchester United are desperate to strengthen their squad this summer after their worst Premier League campaign on record, with a move for Rayan Cherki potentially on the cards.
It’s expected that United’s squad will look significantly different next season compared to the start of the 2024/25 campaign.
Victor Lindelof, Christian Eriksen and Jonny Evans are all set to leave at the end of their contracts, whilst want-aways Marcus Rashford and Antony are expected to make permanent moves from Old Trafford.
It’s also expected that failing players like Rasmus Hojlund and Andre Onana could also depart with United already looking for replacements for the pair.
Whilst The Red Devils are edging closer to signing Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Matheus Cunha, Lyon superstar Rayan Cherki could now be on the table as well.

Caught Offside has reported that Cherki’s agent has contacted United for a potential summer move with the French winger looking to leave Lyon.
It’s understood that his agent has also contacted Liverpool, with Manchester City, Tottenham, Newcastle, Bayern Munich, and Paris Saint-Germain also monitoring the 21-year-old.
However, the report explains that Liverpool are only considering Cherki as a back up to Florian Wirtz if they can’t sign the German superstar.
This could allow for United to swoop in front in the race for the talented France international who’s grabbed 12 goals and 19 assists in 43 games this season, including scoring two goals against United.
The 21-year-old would be a fantastic signing for Ruben Amorim, with Cherki showing off his versatility all season, playing across both wings, attacking midfield and as a striker.
