That includes targeting the free agent market.
United have been linked with a handful of players set to become available for nothing, including former academy product Angel Gomes and long-time INEOS target Jonathan David.
But now, arguably the highest-profile free agent on the market has been formally offered to the club.
Leroy Sane offered to Manchester United
According to journalist Santi Aouna on X, former Manchester City winger Leroy Sane is being proposed to multiple Premier League clubs, including United, as his contract at Bayern Munich nears its end.
With negotiations reportedly stalled, Bayern are pushing for a final decision this week.
Although they are already preparing for life without him due to an overload of attacking options like Jamal Musiala, Michael Olise, and potentially Florian Wirtz.
Despite no longer being central to Bayern’s plans, Sane has still produced 13 goals and six assists this season.
Thus, showing he retains the quality that once made him one of the most dangerous wingers in England.

There are questions over how he would fit into Amorim’s 3-4-2-1 setup, with no natural position for a traditional winger.
But Sane would inject much-needed experience and winning mentality into United’s squad.
With two Premier League titles and four Bundesliga crowns to his name, Sane knows how to deliver at the highest level.
Something in short supply at Old Trafford in recent years.
The German previously spoke of possibilities in joining United, back in November.
If he did return to England, he may yet add a third Premier League medal – this time in red.
