Denver Nuggets Fans Are Upset After NBA's Game 6 Announcement

Everything is on the line for the Denver Nuggets on Thursday night.

They are back in the Mile High City, hosting the Oklahoma City Thunder in Game 6 of the second-round series between the two sides.

Trailing the No. 1 seed in the Western Conference 3-2 is quite a hole for the Nuggets to be in.

After firing their general manager and head coach in the final week of the regular season, Denver was expected to make it this far, however.

Nikola Jokic is going to have to play at his regular MVP level, with his teammates backing him up in a major way, so the Nuggets can extend the series to Game 7.

The Thunder have been brilliant this season, though, and Denver is absolutely going to have to play like their backs are against the wall.

There is one major issue, however.

The NBA announced the lineup of referees handling the pivotal Game 6 matchup between the two sides.

Marc Davis is the crew chief, which has sent Nuggets fans into a frenzy.

"My heart is saying Denver is gonna come out and play great ball. 6 players in double digits and get a convincing 10-15 point dub," one fan predicted. "My mind? Marc Davis is chief ref tonight so it’s over with it!"

It's clear Nuggets fans are fearful with Davis being the crew chief -- especially with as physical as the series has been between the two sides.

"replay center tony brother? marc davis ref? yeah prepare for dort and caruso getting way with hacking all game," another fan claimed.

"Marc Davis as the main referee and Tony Brothers at the replay center. Yeah, its over," one fan wrote.

"marc davis AND tony brothers…… it’s so joever," one fan worries.

This could cause issues for both sides. However, with the Nuggets' backs against the wall, they're going to have to play through any whistle or referee controversy and try and pick up a major victory.

Still, Denver fan are clearly upset with Davis being the crew chief -- and even Tony Brothers being in the replay center.
