Match facts

Head-to-head

Aston Villa have won four of their past six league and cup meetings with Tottenham, including a 2-1 FA Cup triumph at Villa Park in February.

However, Spurs have won the past two league meetings by an aggregate score of 8-1.

The Lilywhites have eight wins from their previous nine Premier League visits to Villa Park, losing the other.

Aston Villa

Aston Villa are unbeaten at home in 20 games across all competitions, winning 14 and drawing six, their longest run for 48 years.

They have won seven successive games at Villa Park in all competitions, scoring 17 goals during that spell.

Villa are seeking their 32nd win in all competitions in this campaign, which would set a new club record in a top-flight season.

Unai Emery is set to take charge of his 100th Premier League game as Villa manager. He's won 53, drawn 21 and lost 25 of his previous 99 matches, with his side scoring 172 goals and conceding 136.

Ollie Watkins scored his 75th Premier League goal for Aston Villa last time out, overtaking Gabriel Agbonlahor to become the club's highest goalscorer in the competition.

Three of those 75 goals have come against Tottenham but none have been scored at Villa Park.

Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham have lost seven of their last 10 Premier League games (W1, D2), with their only win in that run coming against bottom side Southampton in April.

Defeat for Spurs would be their 25th in all competitions this season, equalling the club record for a single campaign which was set in 1991-92.

Ange Postecoglou's side are one of four top-flight teams to lose 10 or more league games in 2025 – the other three sides have all been relegated.

They have conceded in each of their last 11 league games, their longest spell without a clean sheet since a run of 17 between August and December 2010.

However, the Lilywhites have won their final away game in each of the last four Premier League seasons, scoring an average of four goals per victory.

Dominic Solanke has bagged four goals in his last three top-flight games against Aston Villa, scoring two with Bournemouth last season and two for Spurs in this campaign.
