There’s no doubt he will be selected with the first overall pick, as fans and analysts alike hold high expectations for him to become a future superstar in the league.
However, not everyone believes the path to stardom will come easily for Flagg. Florida Gators head coach and this year’s NCAA champion, Todd Golden, expressed some skepticism.
During an appearance on the Run It Back Show, Golden voiced doubts about whether Flagg will reach superstar status in the NBA. While he acknowledged Flagg’s immediate impact potential, Golden emphasized that becoming a true NBA star remains uncertain.
"Whether he’s gonna be able to become a superstar, I think that’s still to be determined," Golden said. "I think he’s a great player, don’t get me wrong, but every player in the NBA is amazing."
Cooper Flagg enjoyed an impressive NCAA season, averaging 19.2 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 4.2 assists per game while collecting numerous individual accolades. It will be fascinating to see how his career unfolds at the next level.
