The Golden State Warriors held their exit interviews today after their 2024-25 NBA season came to an end on Wednesday night. Stephen Curry delivered a bittersweet message for those listening.
The Warriors were finished off 121-110 by the Minnesota Timberwolves in Game 5 of their second-round series. Anthony Edwards and company built a strong lead in the first half and coasted to the finish line from there.
Game 5 marked the fourth consecutive loss for the Warriors without Curry in the lineup. The future Hall of Fame point guard suffered a hamstring injury in Game 1 of the series against Minnesota.

Curry reveals timeline for injury return
The devastating fact for the Warriors and their fan base that comes from this series is the gigantic 'what if' stemming from the alternate reality where Curry does not get injured.
What is even worse is that had Golden State managed to find a way to win without Curry, the baby-faced assassin would have likely returned in time to aid in the Warriors' push to win the series.
The legendary Warriors guard confirmed as much in his exit interview on Thursday.
"Everything was kind of aligned for Game 6," Curry told the media. "I had some testing to do and who knows how that would have went because I hadn't gone live since Game 1 and [it was my] first time dealing with this injury.
The Warriors point guard added: "I was pretty optimistic but there were a couple more check points to get through. But it's the great what if."
That 'what if' will eat away at both fans and the team alike heading into this offseason. The Warriors certainly looked like an elite team after the NBA trade deadline. However, the untimely injury cost them a true opportunity to compete for a title.
