Fans Saddened by Steph Curry's Admission After Warriors' Elimination Game

Steph Curry and the Golden State Warriors are heading into the offseason after being eliminated in the second round.

The Warriors faced the Minnesota Timberwolves in the second round of the NBA playoffs after defeating the Houston Rockets in the first round.

Golden State had tremendous momentum, taking down Houston, who entered the postseason as the No. 2 seed, but everything fell apart in Game 1 of the second round.

Curry went down with an injury after 13 minutes of game action in Game 1. He finished the night with 13 points, one rebound and one assist.

After Curry was sidelined with a hamstring injury against the Timberwolves, the Warriors lost four straight games in the second round.

Curry spoke on the injury after Golden State was eliminated from the playoffs, mentioning that "everything was aligned" for a return in Game 6, which could have extended the series.

"Everything was kind of aligned for Game 6," Curry said. "I had some testing to do, and who knows how that would have went because I haven't gone live since Game 1. First time dealing with this injury, I was pretty optimistic but there were a couple of more checkpoints to get through."

Upon the release of the video, some fans took to social media, sharing their thoughts on the heartbreaking news.

If the Warriors would have won Game 5, they would have returned to Golden State and potentially forced a Game 7 on the second-round series.

"they don’t deserve you goat," said one fan with a broken heart emoji.

"I’m still so hurt," said another fan with crying emojis.

"he just needed then to win 1 freaking game and he would’ve got them to a game 7 at least. Unreal," mentioned another with a broken heart emoji.

"They couldnt win just one for him bruh ONE," commented one fan.

"yall failed our goat," said one fan.

"Damn that sucks," said another fan.

Stephen Curry finished the season posting 24.5 points, 4.4 rebounds and 6.0 assists per game.

The Golden State Warriors' leading scorer was surely missed during the team's four-game skid, but health came first for the 37-year-old.
