Kevin Durant Calls Out Pundits Who 'Ruined' NBA, Takes Shot at Media Member

Kevin Durant has never been particularly close with the NBA media. The Phoenix Suns superstar has gotten more and more open about that fact over the years.

Durant grew from a point of using burners on Twitter/X to defend himself to confidently roasting everyone in sight on his main account. There is something to be respected in that approach.

On Thursday, Durant was scrolling his feed on Twitter/X and caught wind of a video he did not care much for. The two-time NBA champion let that media member hear it.

Emmanuel Acho was dropping his hot take on how the Boston Celtics match up better against the New York Knicks without Jayson Tatum than with him. Durant responded to that claim with a hot take of his own.

"Hot take artist have ruined the sport. Football guys, no disrespect but yall boys need to stay In ya lanes, u don’t know what it’s like it between these lines man give it a break.

Dudes who quit football early to pursue media talkin mental toughness, cut it out."

-Kevin Durant

The Slim Reaper clearly took issue with several levels of Acho's involvement on the topic of Tatum in his reply. Hot takes, commenting on a sport you do not have experience, etc. were all notable points of contention here.

Durant has always been an outspoken NBA player. One never truly knows where or when the two-time Finals MVP is lurking on social media, ready to rip someone a new one.

Acho would be wise to avoid any further smoke by dodging any of the trade topics that are sure to involve Durant during this offseason. Poking the bear comes at your own risk with a player like KD.
