Ronnie Dunn and Taylor Hanson, music artists with Tulsa ties, and Oklahoma City Thunder general manager Sam Presti are among seven people chosen for the Oklahoma Hall of Fame’s class of 2025.
The announcement was made during a Thursday luncheon at Gaylord-Pickens Museum.
Class of 2025 honorees are:
• Ronnie Dunn, Tulsa. One half of the most awarded duo (Brooks & Dunn) in country music history, Dunn has Tulsa roots and is one of most influential voices of his genre.
• Eddy Gibbs, Owasso. A generous education supporter and entrepreneur, Gibbs re-established Shangri-La as a northeast Oklahoma destination.
• Taylor Hanson, Tulsa. An award-winning songwriter and musician who rose to fame with his brothers in the pop-rock trio Hanson, he supports multiple causes, including food insecurity.

• Mautra Staley Jones, Ardmore. A nationally recognized, transformational leader in higher education, Jones is the first woman and person of color to serve as president of Oklahoma City Community College.
• Bert Mackie, Enid. A longtime banking leader, Mackie is a passionate champion for higher education and a steadfast community supporter of Enid.
• Michael A. Mares, Norman. An evolutionary biologist and renowned desert rodent expert, Mares is a former director of the Sam Noble Museum.
• Sam Presti, Oklahoma City. A visionary executive vice president and general manager of the Oklahoma City Thunder NBA team, Presti is a dedicated philanthropic supporter of the Oklahoma City community.
“As we approach the 98th year of presenting Oklahoma’s highest honor, I am again filled with immense pride at the extraordinary individuals who make up this year’s class,” Shannon L. Rich, president and CEO of the Oklahoma Hall of Fame, said in a news release.
“Each of this year’s honorees embodies the very spirit of what makes Oklahoma so special. They have invested in our state’s future and also inspired millions of people around the world. Their accomplishments and commitments to making a difference serve as a powerful reminder of the impact Oklahomans have.”
The class of 2025 will be inducted into the Oklahoma Hall of Fame during a Thursday, Nov. 13 ceremony at Arvest Convention Center in Tulsa. Tickets will go on sale to the public near the end of August at oklahomahof.com.
