Antoine Semenyo of Bournemouth during a training session
Bournemouth star Antoine Semenyo has been linked with a move to Manchester United in the summer transfer window
Manchester United are gearing up for a pivotal Europa League final against Tottenham Hotspur in less than a weeks time.
Ruben Amorim's squad are well aware that a win in Bilbao on Wednesday would secure them a coveted spot in next season's Champions League, potentially salvaging what has been a disastrous season. However, before they can focus on their European final, United must first tackle Chelsea in the Premier League on Friday evening (8:15pm kick-off), hoping to enter the final with some momentum.
The main concern for Amorim and his team though will be to avoid further injuries. The fitness of defensive trio Diogo Dalot, Matthijs de Ligt, and Leny Yoro is causing some worry for United's head coach ahead of next Wednesday's match in Spain.
With all this in mind, here are some of the latest headlines surrounding United, along with an analysis of each one....
Semenyo latest
Bournemouth have reportedly set premium prices for their star assets as they prepare to bid farewell to Dean Huijsen, who will join Real Madrid when his £50million release clause is triggered.
The iPaper report that Bournemouth’s valuation of United-linked Antoine Semenyo is in excess of £70m.
Cherries boss Andoni Iraola has recently admitted that Bournemouth expect to sell some of their bigger names over the summer.
“I think there will be changes in the summer,” he told The Sports Agents podcast.
“Yes, probably some players will leave. We will try to keep as many as we can, especially the ones that have performed so well. But the club has to be ready for these movements.”
Isaac Seelochan of The Manchester Evening News says: "If true, it's hard to see United matching Bournemouth's valuation. However, there is always room for negotiation and I imagine he will leave for a much cheaper fee this summer."
Vanderson claim
United are reportedly contemplating whether to appraoch Monaco for star right wing-back Vanderson.
GIVEMESPORT claim that it is increasingly likely that the Brazilian will be allowed to leave Monaco for £30m. It is reported that interest in Vanderson is due to Diogo Dalot not being seen as an ideal option as a regular starter at right wing-back.
Isaac Seelochan of The Manchester Evening News says: "United definitely need a new right wing-back this summer and Vanderson certainly appears to be an upgrade on Dalot in that position. For £30m this could be a bargain for the Reds."
