Chris Sutton has aimed a jibe at Everton as they prepare to bid adieu to Goodison Park on Sunday.
The Toffees men’s team will play their final-ever game at Goodison Park ahead of moving to the Bramley-Moore Dock stadium when Southampton visit them on 18 May.
It guarantees to be an emotional occasion, as Everton leave the ground they have called their home for 133 years.
Although Everton Women are set to make Goodison their home starting next season, this is considered a significant moment in the club’s history.
David Moyes will be keen to ensure that the Merseyside-based club bid adieu to the Grand Old Lady on a high on Sunday.

Sutton moots Everton ‘mess up’ in Goodison Park finale
However, Sutton believes it would be ‘typical’ of Everton to mess up on the big occasion, especially after seeing them be ‘taken apart’ by Fulham in the first half of their trip to Craven Cottage last Saturday (10 May).
That is not to say he expects Moyes and Co. to fall short against Southampton, who have been confirmed to be dropping down to the Championship for a few weeks.
Sutton thus predicted a 2-0 win in favour of the Blues and tipped Beto to add another goal to his tally.
“Everton got taken apart in the first half by Fulham last time out, but were much better in the second half and went to win 3-1 at Craven Cottage”, Sutton wrote on BBC Sport (14 May).
“It would be typical for them to mess up on their big day, but they won’t. I fancy Beto to get a goal, and the Toffees to sign off with a win. 2-0.”

Joao Virginia among players to exit
Sunday’s game will also be the final game at Goodison Park in Everton colours for several players.
Joao Virginia is among those who are on their way out of the Merseyside-based club, with his contract expiring at the end of the season.
Asmir Begovic is also headed towards the exit door, although Ashley Young has been offered a new deal.

It is worth noting that the Toffees have 13 first-team players running out of their contracts this summer.
This also includes players on loan, including Jack Harrison, Armando Broja, Jesper Lindstrom, Carlos Alcaraz and Orel Mangala.
