West Ham midfielder Tomas Soucek is understood to be in demand this summer, with Leeds United among the clubs linked with his services.
The Czech Republic international has been a mainstay for Graham Potter’s side as well as other managers who preceded him at the London Stadium.
This season too, he’s proven to be an important goal threat, contributing to nine strikes in the Premier League alone.

Leeds and Everton among clubs to hold Soucek transfer talks
According to TBR (15 May), the Hammers have notified Soucek that he can depart during the summer transfer window.
The 30-year-old, who joined in 2020, has featured in 243 matches and netted nine goals this season, has been a first-team regular.

MORE WEST HAM STORIES
Despite his impressive form and approaching double-digit goals for the second straight season, Soucek’s tenure at the London Stadium appears to be winding down.
Multiple Premier League sides, including Everton and Leeds United, are keen on acquiring the adaptable midfielder and as many as five top-flight clubs have begun talks to secure his services.

West Ham may be making a mistake by letting go of Soucek
The Hammers may be erring by allowing the 30-year-old to leave, as his departure could deprive them of a versatile and impactful midfielder, even if he doesn’t perfectly align with Potter’s tactical vision.
Soucek, with 243 appearances and nine goals this season, brings a unique blend of physicality, aerial dominance and goal-scoring nous from midfield, qualities not easily replaced.
While Potter’s possession-based style might favour more technically polished players, his relentless work rate and knack for late box arrivals offer a vital Plan B, particularly in matches requiring a direct approach or set-piece threat.
His ability to shift momentum as a substitute, evidenced by his consistent contributions under multiple managers, makes him an invaluable bench option for breaking down stubborn defences or securing crucial goals.
With interest from up to five Premier League rivals, including Everton and Leeds, letting Soucek go risks strengthening competitors while weakening West Ham’s squad depth.
Retaining him ensures tactical flexibility and a proven performer for critical moments, making his exit a potential misstep.
