Junior Firpo’s future at Leeds United has been up in the air even before they secured promotion back to the Premier League.
Leeds will have already turned their focus to the summer transfer window in a bid to get themselves prepared for life back in the Premier League.
A whole host of players have been linked with a move to Elland Road since promotion was achieved, and the latest link has painted a fairly clear picture as to where the future lies for Firpo.
The Spaniard was an integral component to the Whites’ Championship success, but his future looks destined to be elsewhere after the latest update.

With that in mind, it seems as though Leeds have already identified a replacement for Firpo, with Southampton’s Kyle Walker-Peters linked with a move to Elland Road on a free transfer.
Now, if that deal is to be pursued, when taking into account the quality possessed by Walker-Peters, it seems evident that he starts week in, week out for the Whites, and it’s unlikely to be in place of Jayden Bogle.
With Barcelona interested in Firpo, the Spaniard’s future now looks clear, and it feels highly unlikely to be with Leeds in the Premier League.

Leeds could seal smart signing with Walker-Peters
Walker-Peters, despite his relegation as part of one of the worst Premier League sides in history, would be a great signing for nearly anyone in the top flight.
His versatility is his biggest selling point, but he has impressed wherever he has played, and his knowledge of the Premier League would make it a remarkable piece of business for the Whites.
His wages could provide somewhat of a block, but if Leeds want to stay in the Premier League, they will need to be prepared to spend big, but within their PSR rights.
