West Ham look set to undergo some changes to the playing squad this summer, but Leeds United could be the beneficiaries amid links to Tomas Soucek.
Tomas Soucek is a transfer target for Leeds United ahead of the summer transfer window opening at the start of June.
Leeds United have been promoted to the Premier League and now Daniel Farke wants to add some Premier League quality to his ranks, which Soucek would certainly bring.
The 30-year-old Czech midfielder has nine goals in 33 league games for the Hammers this season. Meanwhile at Elland Road, Farke has lost Joe Rothwell who’s returned to parent club Bournemouth.
Central midfield is just one of several positions in this Leeds side that needs bolstering this summer. But a move for Soucek doesn’t appear to be all that cut and dried.

Tomas Soucek eyeing new contract with West Ham amid Leeds United interest
West Ham fans aren’t all that happy with manager Graham Potter. They’re not happy with how he’s handling certain players in the side and Soucek is certainly one of them, with the towering midfielder a favourite among the Hammers faithful.
Under contract until 2027, it’s said that West Ham will sell Soucek for £20million this summer. For Leeds United and the other interested teams, like Everton, that could be a bargain for such a prolific midfielder. But Soucek doesn’t want to go anywhere anytime soon.
ExWHUemployee has revealed on The West Ham Way that Soucek actually wants to stay in East London and sign a new deal. They say: “West Ham have denied rumours that the club have told Soucek they are looking to sell him. Soucek wishes to remain at West Ham and is in fact looking for an improved contract.”

Leeds United now want to sign Tomas Soucek’s West Ham teammate
Soucek isn’t the only Hammer that could be leaving this summer, and he’s not the only one who could be on his way to Elland Road.
Recent reports have revealed that Leeds United and Everton are interested in signing Vladimir Coufal this summer with the 32-year-old full-back set to become a free agent at the end of this season.
It’s already been reported that Coufal’s agents have spoken to Leeds United over a possible move and if he signs early doors this summer, he could yet be something of an intermediary for a potential Soucek deal.
If Coufal arrives and settles in quickly, he could pass on a positive review to Soucek whose situation looks far from clear, and could drag on well into the summer.
