Nottingham Forest could be forced to sell two of their prize assets this summer amid concerns about profit and sustainability rules.
Speaking on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, senior correspondent Pete O’Rourke revealed what his sources have told him about two key players’ futures.
Both Morgan Gibbs-White and Murillo have been attracting plenty of interest ahead of the transfer window, and Forest could now find it difficult to retain their services.
Without Champions League football, Forest may have to sell players to raise funds and avoid a new PSR breach after falling foul of the rules last season.
This comes after Football Insider revealed Forest may be powerless to keep Gibbs-White if Man City come calling as the 25-year-old is “flattered” by the interest.
Murillo, meanwhile, signed a new deal at the City Ground in January, but that has not deterred interest from Chelsea and Liverpool this summer.

Nottingham Forest could be forced to sell Morgan Gibbs-White
Former Man City financial adviser Stefan Borson told Football Insider last month that Forest could face PSR issues if they do not qualify for the Champions League.
Nuno Espirito Santo’s side have dropped to seventh in the Premier League table, but are just one point shy of the top five with two games to go.
However, with their qualification no longer in their hands, O’Rourke warned Forest could be forced to cash in on Gibbs-White and Murillo to balance the books.
“*FFP and PSR plays a big part in the daily talk at Nottingham Forest,*” he told Football Insider.
“Without Champions League football, it could be difficult for them to hold on to their best players.
“If somebody comes in with a big bid and they’re not in the Champions League, it’s going to be very difficult for Nottingham Forest.
“They’ve got an owner who is financially sustainable and very willing to compete at the top.
“If players like Morgan Gibbs-White and Murillo were to leave the club, their recruitment is going to have to be good and they’re going to have to pump some money in.
“They’ve got to toe the line with FFP and PSR rules.
“Gibbs-White may just fall foul of that and he has been hand-picked by bigger and better clubs across Europe, not just in England.”

Liverpool star Harvey Elliott to replace Gibbs-White at Forest
As speculation continues to grow surrounding the future of Gibbs-White, Forest have turned their attentions towards potential replacements.
Football Insider revealed on 9 May that Liverpool star Harvey Elliott is on Forest’s radar and could be made available by Arne Slot this summer.
A number of Premier League clubs including Wolves, Bournemouth and Newcastle are also believed to be keeping a close eye on his situation.
Meanwhile, former Man United chief scout Mick Brown told Football Insider that Forest want to sign Elliott, while the move could be ideal for all parties.
