Florian Wirtz's parents are reportedly pushing to ensure he leaves Bayer Leverkusen this summer. The ECHO reported on Thursday morning that Liverpool are ready to go head to head with both Manchester City and Bayern Munich to sign the German international.

Anfield chiefs reached out to Wirtz’s representatives and have been informed to expect competition from both City and Bayern. He has has scored 16 goals and added 15 assists in 46 matches across all competitions this season.

And according to German publication BILD, Wirtz and his parents are pushing to ensure he can get a move in the summer transfer window.

The report also goes on to claim that Bayern are confident they can land the attacking midfielder.

While Relevo is reporting that Pep Guardiola and his recruitment team have shifted focus, placing Dani Olmo firmly at the top of their summer wish list.

It is claimed that City want the 27-year-old as Pep Guardiola sees him as an ideal replacement for Kevin De Bruyne.

De Bruyne is set to leave City at the end of the season after 10 years at the Etihad Stadium and Guardiola is keen to find a suitable successor.

With Olmo's long-term future at 'dream' club Barcelona uncertain, City are keen to lure him to Manchester and win the race for the former RB Leipzig playmaker.
