Former Kentucky Wildcat Julius Randle and the Minnesota Timberwolves punched their ticket to the Western Conference Finals when they beat the Golden State Warriors (4-1) in a best-of-seven series earlier this week.
Despite the Warriors having Draymond Green — one of the better defenders in the NBA for more than the last decade — Randle had quite the series against the 4-time NBA champion.
After the Timberwolves fell in Game 1 of the series, Randle went on to average 27 points, 7.5 rebounds and 7.75 assists per game — including a triple-double in a crucial Game 3.
Julius Randle has been on ANOTHER LEVEL this playoffs.

Those are Lebron James-like numbers against one of the better defensive teams in the league this year and to do so under the pressure of the playoffs is an even greater accomplishment.
This is Randle’s first year with the Timberwolves since coming over from the New York Knicks when he & Donte DiVincenzo were swapped for Karl-Anthony Towns in October.
It’s also Randle’s first Conference Finals appearance while Minnesota is headed back for the second consecutive year, waiting to face winner of Denver and Oklahoma City.
